Paneer Manchurian Recipe

 



Paneer Manchurian is made with paneer (cottage cheese) that is first marinated in spices and then deep-fried until crispy. The paneer is then tossed in a spicy and tangy sauce made with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and other seasonings. 

In this recipe, we will show you how to make Paneer Manchurian in just a few simple steps.

Ingredients:

For Paneer Marinade:

200 gm Paneer, cut into small cubes

1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder

1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder

2 tbsp Cornflour

Salt

Water as required

For Manchurian Sauce:

1 tbsp Oil

1 Onion, finely chopped

1 Bell Pepper, chopped

3-4 Garlic cloves, minced

1-inch Ginger, minced

2 Green Chillies, finely chopped

2 tbsp Soy Sauce

2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup

1 tsp Red Chilli Sauce

1/2 tsp Vinegar

1 tsp Cornflour

Salt to taste

Water as required

Spring Onion, finely chopped for garnish


Instructions:

1. In a bowl, add paneer cubes, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, cornflour, and salt. Mix well and add enough water to make a thick batter.

2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the paneer cubes and fry them until they turn golden brown. Once done, remove them from the pan and keep them aside.

3. In the same pan, add oil, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, minced ginger, and green chillies. Saute for 2-3 minutes.

4. Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, vinegar, and salt. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

5. In a small bowl, mix cornflour with water to make a slurry. Add the slurry to the pan and mix well.

6. Add the fried paneer cubes to the pan and mix well with the sauce.

7. Cook for 1-2 minutes on low heat until the sauce thickens and coats the paneer cubes.

8. Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped spring onions.
